The health and safety of our visitors, volunteers, and staff members is always a priority here at the AACA Museum, Inc. As the uncertainly surrounding COVID-19 continues, we want to reassure you that we are monitoring this situation closely.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) is thought mainly to spread person-to-person through respiratory secretions. At this time, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is advising people to take common-sense health steps, including frequent hand-washing, staying away from others while sick, covering your mouth with a disposable tissue when you cough or sneeze, stay at home if you have flu-like symptoms, etc.
We have identified and implemented some additional preventative measures.
- We have intensified our daily cleaning procedures and have increased the frequency of sanitizing and disinfecting of surfaces in high-traffic areas.
- We are actively encouraging staff and volunteers to stay at home if they are not feeling well. We ask the same of our members and visitors.
- Further, in an abundance of caution, we are postponing our “Paint Me a Magic Bus” art program, which was scheduled for this Saturday, March 14th, as the presenters needed to travel here from outside the area. We have currently identified April 25th as an alternative date.
- We support frequent hand-washing and the use of hand sanitizer, which is available at the ticket counter and the administrative office for staff, volunteers, and visitor use. All restrooms have sinks and are supplied with soap, and paper towels available for frequent hand-washing.
While the risk of contraction within the U.S., and in our region, currently remains low, we want to assure you that we are closely monitoring updates on COVID-19 as it continues to unfold. We encourage everyone to follow the recommendations of the CDC, along with their state and local health authorities. When you visit the AACA Museum, please know, that we are here to make your visit as enjoyable and memorable as always. We continue to be open daily from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and look forward to seeing you soon.
